About the Role
We are seeking an experienced French-speaking Systems Engineer to join our client’s infrastructure team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote position supporting enterprise IT environments, with the client based in Brest, France.
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Windows infrastructure, Citrix technologies, and VMware virtualisation, with the ability to manage, maintain, and optimise critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Citrix infrastructure.
- Manage VMware vSphere virtualisation platforms.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualisation, and application issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in incident resolution and change management processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Fluent French (spoken and written).
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on expertise with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and related technologies.
- Solid experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure support and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft or Citrix certifications.
- VMware VCP certification.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
